close ratio box

Looking for a close ratio Type9 either Quaife or TranX, will take helical or straight cut, or a dog box. Would love a sequential but it would have to be cheap.
Cheers

I know someone who has one in his Westie and is looking to replace it with a helical BGH or similar. I'll give him a shout to see if he's interested....

Thanks for that, can you find out exactly what it is & what the ratios are. If it's Quaife is it clubman or professional?
Cheers
Ian

sorry i don't know anyone who can help you and i suppose i'm kinda hijacking this thread but heres my question is a straight cut gearbox noise really loud or does it kinda blend in with the car to give you that extra sensation that you are driving a race car on the road?

A lot of people think straight cut boxes are too noisy but in my opinion it adds to the whole 7 experience.
Plus with longer first gear (my trans-x box up to 55mph) and close ratios, beats standard box hands down.
Been best upgrade to my car.

Roadboy...keep an eye on ebay, bargains do come along

ive never heard a 7 on the road (well not in a longggg time) So don't even know how loud that is but i do have a vid taken from a site somewhere where someone seemed to have a straight cut box in his seven. It just sounds like diff whine doesn't it? Its not really much louder than a Vauxhall Carlton with a horsed diff.
