1/4" UNF dome headed nuts x 4
Hi all,
does anyone have any of the above? Want 4 to secure my heater as its bolts poke through the scuttle, and the bolts are manky, so would like dome
headed nuts. My local specialist shop can get them, but as lots of 200!!
Any ideas??

I've got some 6mm, I could stick a 1/4UNF tap down and send you them, just don't tighten them too tight.
DO NOT PUT ON KNOB OR BOLLOCKS!

B&Q sell dome heads. Not sure if they do them in imperial sizes though. Small bags of about4 or 6.
If its broke, fix it. If it aint broke, take it apart and find out how it works!

Gazza - that would be great - hadn't thought of that, and to be honest, haven't got any imperial taps!
Can you tap a dome headed nut then - must be that you can, might have thought that the taper of the tap wouldn't have got to the widest point by
the time it hits the 'dome'....
Anyhow - if you could I'd be very appreciative! U2U sent.

I'll tap it using a plug tap, no taper.

Custom Fasteners in Newtown do them and you can buy them in as small a quantity as you want, ie; 1.
Tel: 01686 629666.
They were 85p in chrome and £1.15 in s/steel eack in 2004.(my catalogue date).
Hope this helps.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!
