R1 RPM ?

Hi,

I just would like to know the max R1 rpm ... but not the engine rpm! the sprocket max rpm!

Can someone help?

A 1998/99 R1 has a red line of 11,750 RPM. It has a primary reduction of 1.581 and a 6th gear reduction of 1.115. That would give you 6661 RPM at the sprocket. The engine will rev a bit higher before the rev limiter interrupts so you could see well over 7000 RPM.
