43-45mm INTERIOR diameter tube

Hiya all.

Yep it's me scavaging again.

Does anyone have an offcut of steel tube I they could post me for beer tokens? I only need 6-8 inches worth to patch my tintop exhaust to get it through an mot.
Only problem is that since the tax is overdue I could do with it soon as.

If no one has any could anyone suggest where I could get some? My local exhaust places are miserable and unhelpful f****rs and my local steel merchant what me to buy a 20ft length.

Thanks in advance.

Who the f**K tightened this up!

Merlin motorsport sell quite a few diffrerent sizes of pipe and in the past they've been willing to sell me "off-cuts" of various lengths for small amounts of folding.....

metal supermarkets sell whatever small length you want. I don't know if they'd have that diameter though.

Check the scrap bin at your local exhaust center or buy a 2mt length from a motor factor

Just had a look in the shed/garage/workshop, well probably shed if I'm honest, can only find bits of 1.75" OD 1.5mm wall stainless - is that too small?

I worked at an exhuast fabricating place, quit just before christmas but will be going back in soon to collect some bits I left behind. If you can wait a week ish I could expand up a piece to any ID you want - using an anchient black magic.

ps, anyone know of any design/mechanical engineering jobs going??
