Dashboard, pref ali or abs
I am after a dash blank with a rolled bottom edge for sva. Would prefer either an aluminium one (i seem to remember someone offering powder coated ali
ones a while back, which looked the biz?!) or a carbon effect or plain abs sort of one.
Evidently i am trying to do things on the cheap, as my bank balance is currently negative, so cant afford the blanks from the various manufacturers
Cheers,
David

Make one out of MDF. Cost about £10 for MDF and vinyl. Then after the SVA if you decide on something else bin it....I stuck with MDF 4 years later!

I got MK's plastic one, looks really nice with a carbon effect. Very pleased I went for it.

I was going to make one before i opted for the Mac#1 carbon blank.
I thin sheet of MDF as stated or thin marine ply with a covering of std vinyl or foam backed vinyl would look good and be cheap. Would could always be
treated with preserver first to make it laso longer.
Making your own also means you can be individual with the design. Big piece of card first to make a template.
Plastic sheet can be sourced but i dont think it is cheap. Other option is using some perspex and covering that if you are worried about it lasting in
wet weather. At least then it is quite thin so dials etc will fit ok. I think thicker ply might be a problem.
