Fuel pump!

This forum has never failed to fill me with glee. I could run my entire life with things found on here. I've had seats, timber, more seats, a laptop, clutch, wiring diagrams, propshaft, sticky numberplates, etc......
the list goes on and to all those fellow Locosters, I thankyou!
So now I'm after a low pressure fuel pump! I had intended to mount my Golf swirl/HP pump under the tank but the space is tight! Plan B is toput the HP pump in the passenger footwell/bulkhead. This means the fuel has to be pumped from the tank up to the swirl pot/pump.
Any sort of leccy pump will do but I suspect the old SU type would struggle!
Anyone got such a thing spare? There's a few on Ebay but I'm tight and I like Locoster prices!!!
Cheers folks!

I'm using a pump from a ZXR9R that pumps at aout 3psi and is very similar to the SU type apart from not being mechanical.

I've a lift pump that came out of a Volvo fuel tank. Don't know if it's still working but I'll dig it out if you're interested. Cheers, Pewe

One out of a tank won't be any good. They need to be submerged.
£30 is the going rate for a new one but I was looking for something that someone was wanting to sell cheap!!!
I'm struggling to justify spending money on a plastic car that will never see the light of day and if it ever does hit the road, it won'tcarry Miss Owelly, Owelly jnr and myself! And the mortgage still has to be paid! You know the score??
I think bike pumps are a bit small. The engine needs over 200bhp's worth of juice.
