just had a word with tiger and their saying that ideally the engine needs to be before august '95 to pass the emissions. If not the engine will need injection rather then the carb route.

He also said that if I opt for the thottle bodies route it wont matter what year the engine was released. Apparently the manifold/ carb route is cheaper and better second hand value.

Apparently it wont matter whether the carbs 1.8 or 2 litre..

does that sound right? bit crossed eye about this engine stuff!? thanks

to be honest its me as i've heard different people say different things so a little confused. basically one route is cheaper to install, which i think is the fuel injection system which if Im right is where you have the injection sitting out of the bonnet, whereas the other route is more expensive but sounds better and gives a little more bhp.

one of these is easier to maintain but I cant say which.

so am i right in thinking that the throttle body route is the nicer sounding, slightly faster but more expensive route? thanks for any suggestions..
