Good 'red' paint recommendations

So I've decided to go with red on my Stylus with a big thick white stripe up the bonnet and around the front grill.

Can anybody recommend any good reds? I want a nice rich strong red - nothing too orange if you know what I mean....

VW Tornado Red, as used on Mk2 Golfs after'85 IIRC. Good solid red with no hint of orange (unlike the earlier Mars red which is to be avoided)

Honda do a nice one, as used on the last generation civic.

Also I think I saw a great red on a Daewoo Matiz of all things!!

Both a real deep red without the orangeness of say, ducati red

Whatever red you choose, make sure it is protected with a good quality laquer - red is b1tch for fading.

The brightest red I have seen is Amulet red as seen on 2004> Audi's, two coat finish but will not fade

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

The Caterham is a little too dark for me - the Elise possibly a little orange.

This Audi Misano red is nice though.... Rescued attachment ALMSLF-small.jpg

That is a nice colour. I think a white (or maybe cream) stripe would look better against a darker red like the Caterham above though.

That red on nre's Mojo is a nice colour. The shaped front wings are a nice touch as well.

Too true, which is why the aforementioned VW Tornado Red is more commonly referred to by owners as Tornado Pink

Toyota Super Red III (found on mk2 MR2's) is another nice deep red

I was going to post the same question, I want my car to be a deep blood red and silver, just like this car.

I'd agree that if you want a solid bright red the BMW Henna Red, as seen on the 80's M3's would be a good choice.

Cheers

Glad you like it

The shape of the front wings is standard Sylva issue, as fitted to many Strikers & Mojos. I'm sure they would sell you a pair if you like them that much!
