Not quite, it twists the wrong way, I have a ford one the same, means with the raceline water rail the oulet sticks out sideways, I want it to point forward, so I can extend it with a peice of ally tube.

if its the std one that faces towards the back of the engine,i think i have one but its a tad dark in the scrap yard that is my back garden,ill look in t morning

I could, but, I'm using the stock mgb radiatior, and the top connection is at the opposite side. So I thought if I could get a housing which points the outlet forwards I could weld an extension to it to clear the cam pulleys and have a much shorter flexible pipe.
Must admit that set up looks neat, I could do that with an MGB V8 rad, but then the bottom hose will be at the wrong side, easier to sort though.

Easy to move to top hose connection in the radiator provided you have enough room in the top header
