Hi,
Does anyone have a good supplier of CV boot kits? I figure i may as well replace them while they are on the floor but my local motor factors want £7 a
boot and the bay of e isnt coming up with much

if you get really cheap boots the rubber will rot within a year, split, throw grease all over the place and you'll have to change them whilest
still on the car.
I'll spend the little extra and buy good quality ones from Ford etc.

In my experience, the Ford kit came complete with grease, rubber boot, metal bands and most importantly replacement metal covers. The motor factor
kits don't have the metal covers and as you have to wreck these to remove them and do the job properly is a bit daft really.
Also IIRC the Ford kits were actually cheaper than the motor factor ones too.

If you got the ford sierra owners workshop, manual it is page 211 foward.
if not: Cut the metal with a hacksaw around the circumference and then down the middle, then using a pair of pilers pell back the cover.
If you need some more infromation just ask.
