Type 9 box to chassis bolt and cup washer wanted
I am looking for the cup washer and bolt which connects the back of the gearbox to the chassis - mine fell off!
Failing that can anyone tell me the size of the bolt? Its not 10mm.
Beer tokens waiting
Cheers
Gary

I'm sure mine is held in with M12 bolt. It was too mobile with just the original cup washer so I fitted an oversize washer inside it and it
cured the play. A piece of thick plate with a hole drilled for the bolt might do the job.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Is the cup washer needed? I am not sure how much movement there should be or how tight to do up the bolt? - any words of wisdom?

I couldn't see the purpose of the cup either. No doubt there is some on a Sierra but it doesn't appear to do much on a kit.
Before you ask, I did fit it anyway, just for competeness.

Not sure about the purpose of the cup, but it would stop the gearbox pulling through if the mount failed.. Ford mist have a reason for fitting
it???

Mines just bolted in with a M12 bolt. No problems yet...

The cup washer might allow the gearbox to self-centre on the mount ?
