Need Steering track rod extensions
Hi,
I need to extend the track rods of my escort mk2 rack to suit my +4" Locost. Does anyone know where I can source extensions? They have an M14
thread.
Alternatively does anyone know where I can source Hex Bar with an M14 internal thread? I was thinking along these lines:
A piece of 22mm hex bar stock with an internal M14 thread could be screwed onto the track rod and held in place with a locknut as usual. Then a high
tensile M14 x 100mm set screw could be beheaded and used to couple the hex bar with the track rod end ensuring that minimum thread engagement is
adhered to. The hex bar can be cut to suit the extra track required.
Comments welcome.
Cheers,
Craig.

Asked Darren (GTS Tuning) about these at the Exeter show. He said he can supply them or will be able to shortly.

Marshall, is that for an Avon with a std Mk II Ecort rack? Please can you give me some more details?
Last I heard, all they wanted to sell was an overpriced rack.
Cheers

Website under construction. Help greatfully received as I don't really know what I'm doing!
