Large(ish) rivets 5.5 x 16mm

Removed fuel sender from plastic tank which had been riveted on.

Holes in tank are 5.5mm (7-32 in old money)

Tank and sender (standard lever arm) depth is 14mm

Tried local suppliers and the wibbly-wobbly-web = no joy

Only need 6!

Must exist 'cus I've just removed 6!

One supplier could get 6mm's, but £91 a bag (or sack!?)

Can anyone help?

Sure I've a bag of 7/32, not sure what lengths, will look when I get home, you are talking straight forward pop rivets aren't you?

You're welcome to a handfull in the post if they're what you need.

I suppose technically that the sealed end type would be preffered, else you could have 6 small holes for the gold to slosh out of

I dont think CBS 5mm's will expand enough to the 5.5mm hole and grip, probably pull straight out.

Colin.. 6 small holes to loose gold from is an improvement on the previous large one

There isn't a hole they leave the ball end of the stem in, that's what makes them pop. 5.5 is a big rivet, have you got a riveter that will take the stem size? I have some 6.4x12 with a 4mm stem

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
