Pistonheads Advert

I've been trying to place an advert on the Pistonheads website for about 3 days with no luck.

Been through the whole process of setting up an account and writing the advert only for it not to be visable when you look in the classified section.

I've emailed them about 5 times, and each time they reply with a different standard reply. In each case I've done what they've suggested and still not been able to see it.

I've done it in the past with no problems what so ever. Makes me wonder now that they have the 'Pemium' adverts (which you have to pay for) if they are delaying normal adverts????

put up a comment on website feedback forum if you haven't already - they usually address issues (well ones like this anyway!) pretty quickly once it's up in there.

I'll try posting on their feedback forum now then.

Haven't put it on this website - not sure anyone would be after a Subaru Impreza on here?

depends - if you've bent it, totalled the bodywork but the mechanics are perfectly serviceable, and you wouldn't mind storing it for about 6 months free of charge, plus of course want next to nothing for it, then you might be surprised by my response... otherwise, no ta

Trouble is no one wants Impreza's now!

Well we would all like one but there is such an over supply of cars for sale at present! Pistonheads has approx 1500 for sale

You've got to make your advertisement stand out from the pack!

Good luck though!

www.midlandscoobies.co.uk when we sold our wrx about three months ago i advertised it everywhere pistonheads-autotrader above web site's etc and only had one phone call on it from the midlandscoobies site after 3-4 weeks of being advertised lucky for me he bought it but took him another 3 weeks to get his money etc patience is needed i'm afraid it took a mate 3-4 months to sell his and about £1600 less than he originally advertised it for hope you have a bit more luck andy

Well, I finally found it...

On page 91 out of 110
And that's after sorting by price. I can't see too many people seeing it!

Looks like for most of the owner sites, eg. Scoobynet you now need to be a 'plus' member - basically you need to pay and/or reach a certain number of posts to be able to advertise.

I may need to do this in the future, but for now I don't really want to pay for additional membership to a forum when I'm looking to sell the car.

I'll try and place an advert on here now - I know it's a long shot.
