If you want to cobble something together you can have a couple of bits off me.

I bought a Rover 214 one hoping to cobble it together to fit the newer 220d one and never got round to it then I bought an audi estate, so it's just sitting here!

It is only made up of a couple of pieces of steel, nuts and bolts etc, no towball itself, but you can have it all for free if you want?

No worries - I was gonna sling it in a big workplace clear out in readiness for the next car, but I've stuck it in the top of the roof for now...

It's illegal to fit a towbar from a non approved manufacturer. It's something I wouldn't skimp on for ease of mind. Fit a breakaway cable to your trailer as well, a child was killed near here this year by a trailer that disengaged from a car.

Trailer accident.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
