valve spring compressor 4 zetec wanted
i have stripped my zetec down but my spring compressor won't work on the valves
has anyone got one they are willing to sell or lend me

Pretty sure the Sykes Picavant 03950000 is what you want -- works on the Rover K and most 16 valve engines

I will lend you one Martin. I will say if you are doing the job properly the stem seals are a pita to get out.

I found an easy way to get the valve stem seals off was using a bit of ally tube that was a tight fit over the top of the seal.I belled the end out
using a ball pein hammer and then it just tapped onto the seal and i could remove it by wobbling it about till it came loose.I think it was an old
tent pole and was about 20mm od.

A pillar or bench drill with an adaptor can be used as long as you protect the gasket surface . If you have a welder an adaptor should only take a few
minutes to make. A pair of valve stem seal pliers will remove the seals easily if you can get hold of them.
