WTD: REALLY cheap tin-top

Ok folks. My Sierra Tin-top was stolen.

I need something MOT'd, Taxed, capable of commuting 80 miles a day and likely to last 6 weeks.

Looks definately not important.

What've you got? Please U2U me.

That looks about right, shame it would cost the same again to shift it from Scotland to south Wales

Yeah - good point. Two great offers so far. Sadly, they are both in Scotland and I'm not going that far for a cheap car.

i have got a K reg vauxhall astra estate 1.4 auto(does 40mpg easy). great runner 6months mot and tax til the end of november.

i have drove it every day for the last 6months without one hickup.

its had a recent oil change and rocker cover gasket plus two new shocks at the back and a new backbox and middle section. all tyres have plenty of tread.

bad bits are there is a little bit of rust on the drivers door and nice crease in the drivers side wing. there is virtually no rust underneath as it was kept in a garage by the previous owner over 7 years of ownership.

oh and its got leckie windows

i want £250 for it cost me £350 6months ago. can let it go on friday when my new car turns up.

located in rochester kent and i can collect you from the train station if necessary.

hmm my idea of a cheap car is about £250 and I'd expect to get about 5 years use out it...

I buy bog standard family jap cars and run them into the ground, in the end they do just the same job as a new £25k car but cost rather less

My idea of a cheap car is my first car -£10 (as in minus 10) or a free car + £10 to put some petrol in it
I kept it for 3.5 years, did 25k no problem with just some basic maintenance and cheap parts then sold it for £300 as a classic
I thought I got its replacement cheap too, but I think Mango got the better end of that deal when I sold it to him....

In fact the cheap focus that I got this year actually cost double the sum of all 6 cars I’ve had before it (inc donor cars, but the Dax doesn’t count cause its not a car yet :p )
