Manchester for 1/2 a day
Hey Guys, I'm going to be in Manchester for 1/2 a day this friday (tomorrow). Anything in particular I should go and see there? Or any locosters
around that area who maybe free?
I'll be around the airport area and I leave saturday morning.

Trip to Old Trafford could be interesting, or you could go and have a look at concorde (it's at the airport).

depends what your into, loads to do in the city centre however its a trek from the airport and plenty of other things to do and prob nearer. Are you
on your own and what do you fancy doing.
Museum of science and industry will easily pass half a day, especially the transport hall
transport hall linky
been a bit of a rush job really, bodged it all together in just 5 1/2 years.

I work in Manchester mate and to be honest I'd rather just sit in the airport. Its certainly not the arsehole of England but it is some
orifice.
I've travelled up and down Britain and to loads of cities but there's nowt quite like Manchester. I never actually realised how rife drugs
were until I started working there. Hole!

It's perhaps not a prime tourist destination, but it's not that bad - I lived there for a number of years. As with any City (and Salford
is a city in it's own right) there's the undesirable minority trying their best to drag the place down with them.

Lived in and around Manchester (Longsight & Chorlton) for a number of years (as well as Salford - see above). If your out looking for drugs
I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding them in any major city. Can't see that Manchester is any better or worse in this
respect.
What is does excel at (IMHO) is a great music scene, some real heritage (mainly industrial), some fantastic architecture (Town Hall, Public Library
etc), art galleries (try the Lowrey in Salford),and some very affable (if a bit northern) inhabitants.
Oh and BTW the Museum of Science and Industry would be an ideal 1/2 day time waster while you wait for your flight
