Hi All,
Newbie looking for some advice please, I'm thinking of doing a few trackdays this year but didn't want to use my road wheels and tyres, so
was thinking of trying to find some cheap alloys either 13'' or 15'' don't no which would be best? seen some on fleabay but
not sure if they would be suitable, If anyone could offer me some advice i would be grateful
many thanks
Pete

Those youve linked to will be ET19 and indys (i think) usually have ET38. This may mean that your front wheel arches would need repositioning. I dont know which 13" alloys come in ET38 ( unless your speccing and buying new compomotives or team dynamics) athough I suspect 13s with say 888s would probably be the preferred setup. I have some et38 ish 15s with parada rubber I need shut of if you decide to go 15"
13" are better, allegedly (lighter weight, etc.). Quite a few people have those Capril Laser RS lookalikes, so those look ideal... £30 would be a good price
Hi
Normally 13's - you'll find a good supply of trackday rubber to fit, secondhand slicks available too.
15's will be heavier as well - makes a very noticeable difference to the feel of the car
Those 13s won't fit over sierra rear calipers - that I can tell you.
Hi Guys
Many thanks for your replies, sounds like the 13s would be better then if i can find some to fit, didn't really want to go to expense of new
1's if i'm only doing a few track days, so i'll keep a look out for some second hand 13s.
thanks again
Pete
definately worth checking what size you can fit before buying any.
14" is the smallest i can get over sierra hubs and standard disc/caliper.
id be very surprised if those alloys went for £30
Ray
Thats exactly what i bought (well, only four, and with scrap tyres on them) and i got them for £30. Although i watched a lot go for double/triple that
before these ones came up.
- But as say, depends on the car, rear brakes, etc.

I might be mistaken but there are many RGB cars using 13" wheels and Sierra rear calipers.
Geoff.
Hi
I,m just running standard sierra front discs and drums on the rear, so sounds like i won't be able to get 13s to fit, maybe after look at some
14s or 15s.
thanks for your replies guys
Pete
if you have drums on the rear then i think your ok to run 13" wheels pete.
