Just got a Hispec 4 post kit for my Avon - from Tiger - it's the M16 replacement kit. Instructions say you have to take 2mm off each Greenstuff
pad.
I'm not keen on that idea. Has anybody elese done the same, or should I try to find some pads that fit? Otherwise what's the best way to
do it?
Thanks
A file would be the best way to remove 2mm rather then resorting to a grinder.
to keep it flat i would use the machine below, don't know how it's called in english, but it's a flat surface that moves. Most of them
can be mounted upside down to the workbench. This is a dewalt but the local shop should have some cheaper ones too.

thats a belt sander
Sounds like they are supplying the wrong calipers for the disc width. Hispec do different width calipers so you should never have to shave the pad. Sounds like Tiger only stock the narrow type - I'd call Hispec to discuss what you have been sold.....
False alarm - Tiger said take 2mm off the pads, but meant the lugs at the side. Done. Thanks anyway!
