I used a email adress from years ago that i dont use any more

I've got my own domain name and email services via 1&1 and you can define one of your allocation of email addresses as *@xxxxxx.com, so when signing up for stuff I do e.g. simon-rac@xxxxxx.com. If I start getting spam I can just block anything sent to that address.

Either that or, if I really don't want to get anything at all, I make up an address in a valid format.
