I got one of each of these and they are both proper 'billy bargains'

Just thought I would share the 'love' with my fellow locost builders!

Sounds pretty good

Bought one of those £19.99 grinders from Lidl last week. 1010Watts so a bit more punch than my old one (which is now relegated to being a fixed 'chop saw' affair)

So far it seems pretty damn good, but we'll see how it fairs after much grindin/re-welding/grinding of all my C**k Ups!!

As I said, its a proper tool (bosch) and a proper bargain!

I used to have an allegedly 'proper tool' Bosch one - the button to lock the wheel so you can remove the disk broke 2 weeks after the warranty ran out - I've got a £20 Netto Chinese made one at the moment which I expected to last 2 weeks for the price..... been a year now and it's still working perfectly

This is the best of both worlds, a supposedly superior manufacturer Bosch for Netto prices!

I think if you gave most people on this forum the choice between a Bosch grinder and a Netto one for the same £20, a significantly larger percentage would take the Bosch tool.

My original post was merely to let people know they are available for £20 from that source!

Still think its a bargain! If you don't, then do not buy one!

Me neither, I was just suggesting that people should perhaps consider 'too cheap to be any good' Netto/Lidl/Aldi power tools as they're not always as rubbish as you expect them to be (for DIY type purposes anyway) - conversely, and from experience, lower end Bosch etc tools aren't always as good as you expect them to be either
