must say these auction have nothing to do with me good bidding!!
How is any one supposed to get a bargain if you make them public knowledge.Every thing i bid on lately ends up on the forum which for some might be a
big help but for those that put the time and effort into searching for locost spares it is very frustrating.
Ultimately your not helping us buyers only sellers.
I,m sure that oil pump Dave blissets after will now cost him another fiver.
Sorry everyone,rant over,happy bidding.

oops! well there is always classic ford in this Britain there you can find multiples of the same parts got my alloy sump from there!
Sorry to be so uptight.Ive not long lost my job so i have too much time and not enough money to work on the car so progress is dependant on very cheep
parts and at the moment all the parts i need must be gold plated judging by the money they are fetching.
Look on E,bay and there is a set of pinto head bolts currantly at £25.If you go to your local motor factors they are only £10.38 inc.Work that one
out.
Anyway keep posting what you like i promise not to rattle my pram any more.

cool, yeah thats ebay for you heard of all sorts, things people buy at discount stores brand label' things and resell at slightly under high street cost on ebay and people think they are getting a bargin. hope you find work soon!
also, there are different types of cylinder head bolts used on pinto some can be re used many times, torques head and what i call a chesse head are these, so you could get some from a scrappy and re use them that may save a few quid..
cough cough
i know what you mean ray i dident get the oil pump i was out bid hmmm
anyway somtimes its a help to see stuff on here and somtimes its not
you cant win them all
cheers dave

the best way to work ebay is to bid what you think its worth and stick to that. The guys at work bid on stuff all the time and sticking to the rule
and you dont get carried away the bargins will come. lots ending on monday mornings are a good one for example.
My boss has cornered the stylaphone market on ebay...............next will be ali sumps.........
Only pay what its worth then you dont get burned.

i think thats the better book for pintos
its not as deep as david visards but more up to date on the injection heads
i too stick to a limit on ebay its the only way to stop it becoming a biding war and paying over the odds
cheers dave
What i do is watch it in my ebay tillit gets near the end and if the price is still reasonable i put in my max bid and only bid once,if i get it then
ok,if i don,t then i keep looking.
So far ive got a pinto manifold for £22,twin dellorto service kits for less than half price and the Des Hammill book for £11.50.
Overall i think i got quite good deals.
