big_wasa - 31/8/09 at 07:11 PM

I havnt added them up but I would say thats to much dosh for S/H imho.

tomgregory2000 - 31/8/09 at 07:16 PM

too much for some second hand stuff

Danozeman - 31/8/09 at 07:44 PM

Yes lots of money, for a 10th of that and some work I recon mine aren't far off.

That's stupid money for s/h parts, not far off new price.

coozer - 31/8/09 at 08:58 PM

They are TOO expensive, checking the price in Burton, £1071 for brand new kit including the manifold. Would have been an OKish price for unused S/H bits IMO, but not used.

how about you just get your kit on the road first, then think about upgrading the tintop

thats the plan...

but I was just thinking I might need a backup plan just incase I need to keep up with certain kits next year (I can't count on megasquirt problems lasting forever )

why would you pay 1k for these when a bike tb set would do the same job?

Because bike throttle body setups are not simple bolt on jobs, and tend to have problems with throttle linkages etc. that have to be solved. Sometimes paying for reliability and convenience make sense (if you can afford it).

Which is exactly what I ended up doing...
