It must be ok - the ad says that they use them on F1 cars
Isn't that the type that can appear to be on correctly but that can come off and cause crashes?

The original boss on the first link is the same as the one i had. The wheel came of at 70mph and i wrote my car off. I suggest staying away from it.
It has no way of noting the wheel is latched on. It on has oe small point of contacr to keep it on and being hex it fits on 6 different ways. I
strongly suggest anybody wanting a boss not to buy this style.
See my previous posts if you dont believe me!
My 2p worth!

Check my previous posts, but I'd recommend a Mountney Snap-off boss any day of the week over the QR ones.
They're no longer made, but trawl eBay and they do turn up on more of a regular beat now. They are lockable, so the wheel can't just
'accidentally' fall off.
I got a new one on the 'bay for £70 delivered, and they're universal, so you'll need a steering boss to suit the column. If you
can't find one on eBay, u2u me as I know someone who has a 2nd hand one complete for sale delivered for £80. Not the cheapest I know, but worth
every penny over the newer, cheaper models.
yep another vote for the Mountney Snap-off,
its good quality and once engaged you cant release it without the key.
Roger
i think these are the same as the mountney

Yep, they're one and the same!
Best option by far if you want a removable steering wheel.
