Just received mine form Hong Kong a full £4.92 plus packaging a tad over £10.00 in all really good quality for what it is and will make an excellent onboard camera. Takes up to 8gig Micro SD sold seperately

daniel mason - 20/3/10 at 01:19 PM

have you seen any footage from these cameras? if so, and the quality is good could you direct me to a link? cheers mate, that sounds stupidly cheap!

spdpug98 - 20/3/10 at 01:23 PM

This my incar footage from the recent MR2 Series meet and greet at Silverstone, it is a bit dark as I had it too far back inside the car, the footage I shot at Llandow is much better

But for £10 you can't complain

(I know it looks slow, but the engine was just about to sieze!!)

I got my 8 gig card from amazon the card records at 40 mins a gig

austin man - 20/3/10 at 01:29 PM

coupled it up as a webcam colour was okay and just messed about recording same a gain no probs with colour not recorded anything in car yet. As spdbug98 has identified needs to be close to a light source as this is what cameras rely upon light coming in

How have you stopped the wind noise, I have found it is fine in the MR2 race car, but not been able to stop the wind noise in the MNR (even when covered in duct tape!)

austin man - 20/3/10 at 01:35 PM

wind in your hair noise or wind in the pants noise, both can be reduced by driving slower lol

DRC INDY 7 - 20/3/10 at 01:39 PM

I do not turn up the sound when i watch the footage

If you use it in the kitcar need to plug into a inverter

austin man - 20/3/10 at 01:42 PM

the inverter reason being like so many if you use the cigarrette lighter an USB for constant power source the camera wont record. Take it from an ac inverter source and it records giving constant power, reducing the chance of stopping due to battery life

Driving slower.........not too sure what you mean

ETA: What is this inverter you put in the post above. The only problem I have had to date is the Power On time

This is my first effort (2 others linked on the page as well).

Camera is on a mount made from an exhaust U clamp round the rollbar diagonal cross bar

Wind noise is OK-ish. Colour seems OK

Tried mine out for the first time last weekend, For just over £10 im quite impressed it was stuck on a Temporary bracket just behind the screen, ive now strengthened the bracket to stop it wobbling

well it looks like were all agreed a definite locost solution to filming. looks like a tenner well spent

MK9R - 20/3/10 at 08:11 PM

Been using one for nearly a year filming my rgb races, absolutly ideal bit of kit. I have a few videos on my website, the latest one and another at anglesey isn't brilliant as the lens got wet due to the rain. The rear facing camera shots are from an oregon, and shows how much better the later DV ones are
