ALDI Bathroom Scales
bodger - 9/4/10 at 05:44 PM

Just noticed ALDI are doing 120KG Bathroom scales this Sunday for 3.99 ea. So could be a cheap option for doing corner weights if your car's light enough.

always use two on each corner...

Just make sure they are accurate and not miles out !

Those ratchet spanners they are doing are decent kit. I purchased the non flexi-head versions and they are very good quality. The amount of 'clicks' on the ratchet is obviously not as precise as the more costly halfords versions but definately worth the £££

pop them on top of each other, measure each scale, add the 2 readings together. Means each scale takes half the weight, making 240kg per corner.

Surely the one on the bottom would measure the one on top + the car?

side by side with bit of wood on top. but why bother.

you can get 200kg rated scales for £15 if you hunt about. not cheep when buying 4 but much cheaper than paying a race prep company to do it for you.
