Nice engine....

Had one of these once, great motors.... imagine it with TB's running off a custom ecu. 400bhp N/A?

I was always under the impression a "W" configuration had three banks of cylinders,
in effect a "V" with an extra bit where the carbs/plenum would usually be. Consequently
I nearly ranted "wrong, that's a V8" but a quick google revealed the truth,

Not at all what I expected

I was thinking about these the other day.

Considering the W16 in the Veyron runs quad turbos, what kind of output could you expect from slapping a couple on this? Seems a very reasonable price too.

Problem is it will be a bit on the wide side.
Looks like it is missing the cam covers.

It would however be ideal for a longitudinal mounted mid-engine setup. You could probably use an Audi FWD transaxle with it too - maybe even a DSG version.

They've still got them, just taken some of the other bits off.

short engine too.

Not too fond of these engines, power output is quite low compared to a regular V8, they're hard to keep cool and have you seen the crankshaft of one of these?

Note the slightly offset big ends, that'll reduce the strength t a lot! (And it looks just wrong)

300bhp as standard is more than most comparable v8's for the cash, and they're quite restricted as standard.
