This car is booked as a mini MK1 and is tax exempt. So it's obviously never been SVA'd and is illegal to boot. Someone is going to get stung.

Yep,
I've seen an MK in Which Kit (I think) with a 'tax exempt log book' - I don't think that can have been SVA'd either. Thing is you'll only *really* hit trouble after a crash when the insurance co have a look at the mini/escort/model T they have insured, and find out it's a fire breathing dragon!
It's a royal pain in the ass to do it right, but it's the only way I could drive it with any peace of mind.
All the best
Ali

Surely someone with any nause about them would be able to identify any really problematic issues, or potential life threatening areas.

Nothing to do with me, but it is buyer beware.

My 2p's worth!

Remember seeing that car on ebay a while ago, its registration was debated on here i think.

i remember a discussion about the west badges recently, i think?

I just found this on ebay before reading this thread - we have definitely discussed it before!

Needs to be cheap as it would have to be SVA'd properly if you want to stay above the law. I guess the only reason it would avoid this is if it had been built before the SVA test was introduced, but were MK around then?

He were definitely born before the SVA became mandatory, but I don't think he were building Indys. I think I've turned into Peter Kay.
