lol. Winter project? Planning mods for a Veyron?

You do know if you buy that you can no longer call yourself a locostbuilder

I would imagine to design something that will cruise at 250mph doesn't leave the designers much room for aesthetics, but there's much uglier cars around, just not that expensive

It's the fastest car there will ever be, it's like saying you don't understand the fuss over Concord

Possibly a slight overstatement, the orginal has already been beaten once so they had to make special one to retake the crown.
Im sure it wont be more than a few years before some one beats it, and id say by 2025 we'll have a 300mph road car.

Concord was designed for a very specific and, at the time, relevant reason hence the fuss. The Veyron is simply an indulgence with little relevance to every day unlike the Concord.

its cheap isn't it? i thought they would be over £1m second hand

I'd rather buy 2008 57 Audi R8 4.2 FSI Quattro 2dr on eBay (end time 12-Nov-10 09:53:13 GMT) and spend the rest on lotto tickets . (not that I have 800 k but if I did that is what I'd do).

I wonder how many more years I will have to wait before R8s sell for £ 25 k ish?????

Its like most things, you have to take into account the running costs and veyron running costs are plain ridiculous. A set of tyres costs around $25,000 and the old tyres can only be removed from the rims by a special facility in france which cost reportedly costs $70,000.

They made it for no reason other than that they could. Its a bit pointless in my opinion.
