Hi Guys,

Im getting really fed up now with wasting brake pipe, so I need a bender to do it properly. This one seems ok for what I need, any comments please???

If any one has a real problem with cheapness or any other reasons not too please let me know, I need to crack on with brake pipes as this is now stopping rest of build!! (And Im getting a little frustrated and dis-heartend)

i have got one of those, you can achieve some pretty funky bends with them.

Same as the one I got from my local Pound Shop ----- how much was it now .........

Yes they work great

Yeah ... had one of those for years with no problems at all. Then lent it to a friend who broke it in minutes!

Still don't know how he managed it but the replacement I bought has been fine.

Conclusion, i think is that used properly they are excellent, but ... just being die cast alloy, any misuse will break it easily.

Yup, they're fine. Don't try bending anything too solid with them though IE they probably wouldn't manage to bend bundy tube for wiper installations. Copper pipe is fine though.

You could also try a jam jar, worked for me, made the bends in the V of the lid/glass..

I've got one of those, you can borrow it if you want.

I have one I never use for brake pipes as I find the Sykes pipe aid pliers much better

For brake pipes you can do much tighter and faster bends using your fingers, but they do make nice bends in 8mm or 10mm micro bore copper pipe.
