Set of 9 metric spanners for less than 3 quid

9 PIECE METRIC SPANNER SET NEW on eBay (end time 20-Feb-11 16:30:38 GMT)

1,569 people and counting have bought a set. Anyone on here? Are they made of cheesy chocolate?

trifield - 16/2/11 at 07:18 PM

It says it's a test auction?

Russell - 16/2/11 at 07:24 PM

So it does! I wonder what that is?

matt_gsxr - 16/2/11 at 07:30 PM

I'll let you know when they arrive.

Can always use them for loosening but not damaging Camembert bolts.

doddy - 16/2/11 at 07:35 PM

i got some from them about 2 weeks ago they are cheap i keep them in my spares kit

slingshot2000 - 16/2/11 at 08:58 PM

These would be perfect for taking to the scrapyard, then no worries about loosing you good set.

Regards
Jon

Don't think I'll bother. You seen the feedback?

ReMan - 16/2/11 at 09:56 PM

Presumably its Argos ?
And feedback as a % is better than many

98.7% positive? Doesn't seem too bad to me; if you process that amount of transactions you are certain to attract a good number of militant eBay idiots.

However, cheese spanners are not worth the money. They will inevitably fail when you most need them, and if they don't snap and impale you the chrome will probably flake and lacerate your hands.

Buy right, buy once

Buy cheap, buy many times over.

Learnt the hard way

But saying that i managed to expand my 13mm open end to 14mm due to over use in 3 years, it had a hard life

well theres only one problem with buying cheap tools......

they are shit

matt_gsxr - 18/2/11 at 11:56 PM

Arrived today.

Not as pretty as my Teng ones, and certainly at the budget end of things, but seem fine.

montythemole - 25/2/11 at 04:45 PM

Mine arrived:

Seems probably rejects since the crank isn't the same way on each spanner (if you look at picture they all crank towards camera but the writing on the shaft shows different ways around). No biggie!
