After much searching i finally found a reasonably priced source for pure Argon gas so i thought i'd share!

The company is Weldgasuk and is based in Mansfield.

The price was £50 bottle deposit and £25 for a fill of gas. The bottles are 10ltr filled to 150bar. I'm not sure if they do any larger bottles.

They will courier bottles if required for £12 or £15 for exchange.

Hope that helps somebody out! The best price i had found before this was £110 inc delivery so quite alot cheaper.

Decent price, pity they don't do Oxygen and Acetylene too, for those and Argoshield I'm paying over £200 a year rental alone from BOC, much bigger bottles, so cost per litre of gas per fill is about the same.
