to be honest my car was in really good nick for its age, it would of made a good original restore project before Nat&Cal's plasma cutter was set loose on it.
Its a 1974 air cooled model, they were still making the 500 in 1973, so its a very early 126.
aaaah well never mind
The roll cage in the ebay one looks like it's built out of washing line posts
Yep, must admit the washing line post description has me sitting pissing myself......
Very very accurate observation.
And definitely not up to Retropower standards.

When I was in my teens, my mother had a 126. One day my aunt phoned to borrow it as her car wouldn't start, but that night she was very late returning it. Turned out that it had started rattling badly and she'd called the AA out (who couldn't find the road she was on for 5 hours!). The AA guy suspected the air-cooling fan (he was wrong, a screw had broken, allowing the under-engine stone-guard to move). Anyway, when he opened up the fan housing and considering that it's a two cylinder engine, he was rather suprised to find three sparkplugs loose in the housing! They must have been there, undisturbed for years.
