I might be completely out of touch but this looks like its spent 6 months at the bottom of his garden Ford 2.2 Pinto Engine 205
block, Race Cam, Alloy Sump | eBay

Can't be that good - doesn't even seem to have a vernier cam pulley

May being the operative word for that much money I'd expect it to look looked after at least and his last statement wipes out any of his previous
description as far as any comeback goes.

I agree with Mark + one or two other things like the original crankcase breather pipe that would go to the original carb not to a oil catch tank
the exhaust and inlet ports don;t look as if they have been altered
but i may be wrong as i often am
Can you take a 205 block to 2.2?
i know a 200 block will
