It would have been better if they had sourced a 2.0l BDG for the engine bay (with a really nice shinny pair of Twin 45's hanging on the side, Or throttle bodies), or even (at a pinch, at least it would have 16 valves) the 2.0l Zetec, instead of the 8v 2.0l twin-cam from the 1990's.

Other than that, ..........................Hmmmmmmmmm, Nostalgia mode engaged, .... Nice.

Edit bit.

I will always remember the First Capri I saw. It was Bright Yellow, sitting in the drive of a house in Bognor Regis, all its bagdes were covered with tape. But through the tape I could make out name and model. when I got home I asked my dad what a Ford Capri was. He said never heard of one. A week later Ford anounce the 'New Ford Capri', I felt so smug because I knew about it pre launch and had seen one.

Quite fancy something a bit retro myself - but I lean towards something more like this .......

We had a Cologne 2.6 grabber green 1972 from new. Was used to tow my C/S Datsun 1200 race car to Mosport.

Mk1 Capri in standard trim would fetch a lot more money, especially if it was the 3000E model.
