e-Bay wierdness...

Strange one this - someone may be able to explain to me what has happened??

I spotted some Team Dynamics Jet wheels on eBay from a seller that appeared to be a business (magikwheels)... Looks like they're brand new - and listed with a starting price of £0.01.

There were two sets for sale - one ending last night / one ending tonight. Same pic for both - but that's no surprise...

I kept an eye on them - and put a bid on the set ending last night - but didn't win. They went for £90 in the end. So I dropped a small bid on the ones ending tonight - then thought i'd do some more bidding tonight...

This morning picked up a message - telling me my bid had been cancelled on the ones ending tonight - and the item has been pulled from eBay.

What's all that about then?

He didn't get enough for the first set, so spat his dummy out?

He only had one set after all?

Yup there is an end listing early function which also automatically cancels any bids, has to be done before the listing is in its final 12 hours.
I used it a few weeks ago when I trod on a plastic vent I had listed

Ive bought from magikwheels, they have a lot of bargain end of line alloys. Could well be they had an offer outside, or that they miscounted stock?

MagikWheels is actually Andy from Rimstock, they use this channel to dispose of cancelled orders, overstock, old stock etc. Quite possible that the have miscounted. He is normally a very straight guy to deal with.

He probably got a good offer and sold them early, a friend of mine does it all the time as it saves some fees.
