Phone westfield today and they told me i needed an alternator off an XR2 to fit their alternator mounts, mate at work's dad works for lucas so can get me a discount so when i was in halfords earlier thought i would see if i could get the part number.
Bloke looked at the screen then called someone else over. He called his manager and he said if thats how much they are priced for that how much youve got to sell them for. So i said how much? £1.49!

Bought one, even if its the wrong one, ill just sell it on ebay. They add £25 on but you get that back when you take the replacement part back.

Called into the one in luton on they way home from work and picked one up from there too. Because i had phoned ahead to check they had one, they must have realised and stuck another price tag, but because the numbers didnt match up to the ones of the box, i still got it for cheap.

Two alternators for less than £3, not a bad days work!

not bad at all. Is it an x-flow or CVH XR2 alternator?

Not sure, at that price i thought if its not the right one i will just sell the 2 i got and buy the right one.

Its halfords part number HAL404, if anyone can tell me the lucas number that would be helpful
