Another Ebay 'Bargin'
motorcycle_mayhem - 12/7/17 at 12:20 PM

Obviously, I suspect the 'price' will go up in the spring of next year as often 'threatened', but this does look a 'bargin', in my opinion.

I'm sure I've seen that for sale on here recently!

ash_hammond - 12/7/17 at 01:07 PM

Looks like that registration has been used on multiple cars!

As before, speaks volumes!

How sad to build such a high spec car then scrimp on 500 quid to register and test properly.

It's things like this that will finish this industry if not stamped out by seizing dodgily register cars. It's the only way scrotes will learn.

gaz_gaz - 12/7/17 at 03:05 PM

Sadly all to common,

I do remember this car first appearing as a zetec trackday only car and the owner saying he was having it put through IVA by Mac1 which clearly didn't happen!

I can't understand why the MoT man can't tick a box marked 'questionable identity', for VOSA to then be alerted to something that might need a look at should they wish.
If it were a formal matter as such, then should the purchaser of such vehicles would have recourse against the MoT issuer, again helping things get along.

My Land Rover fetish means I see quite a few of these 'historic' vehicles. I'm sure it's the sort of thing that FIVA aren't so happy with, with Brussels getting somewhat annoyed:

WillisRR - 13/7/17 at 12:05 PM

Hello, Will here, selling the Dutton Indy RR.

First of all thanks for bringing this to my attention. With hindsight it is clear I should have been less naïve, but it would appear the old owners of MK have taken this route when registering many peoples kit cars for them with or without the owners fully understanding the law... in my case without.

The plate has been removed and I am proceeding to sell the car being explicitly clear that this car is not registered or road legal and is purely for track use.

Luckily for me 99% of it’s use has always just been track days and trailered to and from regardless.

Now knowing the error of registration I don't want to do anything illegal or sell anything improperly. As a few of you know me and have met me on track days over the last 5 years I hope you know I say this sincerely. If I do decide to keep the car I have already spoken to the new owners of MK about getting the car properly registered.

Just to add, I want to make it clear how brilliant the new owners of MK have been. They have constantly been a great help and I am so thankful.

Agreed. The old owners of MK really were a bunch of cowboys.

Good luck with selling/re-registering.

WallerZero - 13/7/17 at 01:33 PM

Honestly, get the IVA manual, have a flick though and see how far off it is. Its a bloody nice looking car that so with an IVA test and legit registration that'll sell in no time

nero1701 - 19/7/17 at 08:14 PM

Isn't there some way to have the people responsible (original owners) put it right?

jossey - 19/7/17 at 08:22 PM

Mk dud it with several vehicles are they are not about as the original company anymore so nope
