sounds a tad cheap that

stevebubs - 29/1/06 at 09:59 PM

It's January....unfinished kits are always dirt cheap about now....Fury body AND chassis kit went for £800 this time last year....

Argh but it's an auction If the muppet has done it wrong somebody will get a bargain

Triton - 29/1/06 at 10:03 PM

Always fancied a Fury myself, very groovy those things

donut - 29/1/06 at 10:34 PM

Looks like a complete bargain to me! I love those cars and would love one myself.

I do find it odd though that some Fury's and gianettas fully built and road leagal go for silly cheap money like £4k in the mags.

miserableoldgit - 29/1/06 at 10:44 PM

I'm sorry but I think it's too good to be true.

Look at the pictures.

Who in their right mind carpets the garage!

Triton - 29/1/06 at 10:54 PM

Well numpty mag peeps do

robinbastd - 29/1/06 at 10:55 PM

I haven't even got carpet in the house.

Triton - 29/1/06 at 10:56 PM

Gulvalifino but still seems good to me

Agreed - I got mine for £3k!!

More seriously, the crossflow (and odd-engined) cars tend to go for a lot less than the rest....especially the 1.3s (as mine was)

Several explanations:
1) Those boys down in Cornwall know how to live
2) As well as the car the bloke also lives in the garage !!
3) He is no masochist and the novelty of lying on cold concrete has worn off a bit!!

We usually have a bit of carpet under the project vehicle (not fully fitted!! ) with a smaller bit of lino on top (to catch the oil drips). When the project goes we have a bonfire and bring in the next carpet which my wife decides is no longer of use to the house.
Thought this was what all regular thinking guys did......................................

No,we are straw chewing peasants, mostly married to our cousins and with imperial quantities of fingers and toes.

JoelP - 29/1/06 at 11:26 PM

2.5 doesnt include the cossy, just the v8.

maybe he just said that to create interest, since its an auction it could go for much more.

In answer, and in no particular order

The Tamar wasn't put there just to look pretty.

I have a "friend" from Cornwall, it took his wife 10 years to explain what carpets were.

You don't "FIT" antthing in a garage - you throw it!

Time and booze running out for any more answers.

Triton - 29/1/06 at 11:34 PM

Weird they have 6x6 twill carpet on their shoes down here to save having it fitted in the house

miserableoldgit - 29/1/06 at 11:37 PM

Triton

Just seen where you live

Don't scratch those wings I've just ordered!!!

Triton - 29/1/06 at 11:42 PM

No worries mate I will wrap them in carpet, shops are full of the stuff as nobody seems to know what it's for
