Needs a clean, but probably got a bit more poke than my 1300 x-flow.
Sorting a gearbox out would be an issue, it's at the back of the car in a 924/944. Ideally the whole engine, torque tube and rear transaxle would be used as a unit - would be an interesting build, wonder if anybody's done one??
If you buy that engine you may want to view this thread there is a guy doing something very similar. (stateside)

It's a tall motor (the same as the one in my 944), but it's got 150 true hp, and lots of torque. It gets my 944 moving quite quickly, even
though the car weighs 3150 lbs. In a 1200 lb. Locost, well, it might be interesting!. As stated, hooking up a trans would be a real challenge,
though...
