apart from the back plates these dont look new to me. If theyv never turned a wheel how come the brg caps look bashed as if theyv been off.
If they are unused ....... I'll...
Well anyway they clearly are used so that's a load of B*****ks
...in at least one of those pictures you can clearly see a dent on the dust cover plate.
Lucky for us "you cant find these in this condition" too often, eh?

the bearing cap is only dented down to the height of the studs, as if it's been put down/dropped on the grease cap, so conceivably, they could be
"brand new".
the main thing that makes me think they've never seen the road is that the back (disc protector) plates are like new, apart from knocks round the
edge. calipers look manky, but more like corrosion of the standar plating.
i don't see any reason why new ones in that state would be so much more desirable than some good used ones though. i can't imagine the
original grease, or caliper seals would be right cracking.

still wouldn't trust them i would want to replace bearings have calipers reconditioned etc
I think they are believable - after 25 years of kicking around in someone's shed you are bound to get a few knocks.
In any case you would still recon the calipers as the seals would have hardened and the bearings would have all sorts of crap in them.
