I just got a pair of multi sized ratchet spanners from B&Q for £29.95 which is pretty good when you consider they cover 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 13mm,
16mm, 17mm, 18mm, 19mm and are good quality with a fine 5 degree reversable ratchet.
These are far better than the pressed steel jobbies that we have all tried.
Great for the minimalist toolkit as they take up very little space.
They don't seem to be on their website yet but are labelled 'Magnusson 8-IN-2 Ratchet Spanner Set'

Can't remember the sizes but the Halfords ones are even better than that.
I think they were £32 (maybe when on offer) and they have atleast 11mm and 15mm extra and a set or multi ended bits like Allen heads and Torques bits
that fit in the 10mm spanner with and adapter
I got the Aldi ones and they are not too bad as well. Only go to 17mm though and the ratchet ends are fairly bulky for the size, especially the
smaller ones.
Still glad I bought them though
The halfords ones are guaranteed for life as well i use them for work no problems so far

just out of curiosity.
why do some ratchet ringers have reverse function on them...when all you have to do is flip the spanner the other way up...
because some of them also have angled heads to get into certain places I would of thought...

Not any more, I read that they'd stopped offering the "lifetime replacement" thing on ratchet spanners.
