Clicky

'These are priced at £80+ from suppliers like Westfield' ... or £49.50 (admittedly plus VAT) from Rally Design. But if that's not bad enough, check out the postage

The other thing is you'll probably be lucky to get it before christmas

Thinking about it - 26/8/07 at 09:57 PM

Just noticed this top right:

"This information will be available when this member receives at least 10 detailed seller ratings"

Threw me for a minute...

If you have the machinery, you can make your own for a few Pounds...

LINKY

You get the bonus of 'quick shift' as well!

A member of this forum ('Micael' ) was making these a while ago, for not too much money (with my blessing, I hasten to add). I don't know if he still is...

Things are worth what people will pay for them.

I paid £80 for my Westfield one along with another £50 odd quid for the Quaife quickshift. It was a sublime gear change - I tested out some 'home built' versions on 'other peoples' cars and they were nowhere near as good.

I've never used the GTS stuff - but claiming it's a rip-off is a bit harsh - perhaps he just messed up the postage amount?

What is it with this forum and attacking people lately? There's NO award for spending the LEAST or MOST amount of money on a car - you spend what makes you feel happy/what you can afford - at the end of the day it's about driving it!

Perhaps the guy at GTS also has kids, family etc - and needs to make a profit - put food on the table, pay rent, rates, council tax, business tax, liability insurance, business insurance, employees, NI contributions, occupational pension scheme, etc etc!

So can we all now GROW the F**K up!

mistergrumpy - 27/8/07 at 10:21 AM

Heavy night Muzchap? If you go onto the GTS site you can get one delivered to mainland UK for £66.66

JoelP - 27/8/07 at 10:40 AM

im confused, whats wrong with £7 postage? Total would be £59.50. RD would be 49+vat which is £57.50. Since £2 difference isnt daylight robbery, i must have the wrong end of the stick!

Hello ? He's charging £25 postage, if anyone deserves "attacking" it's him

Peteff - 27/8/07 at 11:13 AM

It says £7 in the ebay I looked at, is there another one somewhere in a parallel dimension . Unless he got it wrong originally and has now corrected it, the crafty devil

mistergrumpy - 27/8/07 at 11:27 AM

Yep now corrected, a bit of a slip up I think. Well no one can now say he doesn't listen to his customers.

Macbeast - 27/8/07 at 12:10 PM

I queried it with seller and it's been corrected since. Maybe worth doing before bursting into print ?

muzchap - 27/8/07 at 12:13 PM

My point exactly - genuine mistakes can and DO happen.

And his is reasonably priced against the Westfield version - but as I said - the Westfield is a sublime bit of kit and costs nearer £90 with postage.

I've not used the GTS version - so I can't possibly comment on what the change feels like.

But hey - this forum is all about 'ranting' nowadays - so I'm just joining in
