RichardK - 20/8/08 at 09:30 PM

sh1t, am I too late

BenB - 20/8/08 at 09:41 PM

A whole pound on collection

Hope you've got the 1p handy...
That sucks!!!
Next time I'd put a "can't be arsed for less than..." reserve on items like that.

You'ld get more than that for them from a local scrapper. You could even swap them for some machining favours at the local machine shop- good strong metal in them half-shafts...

blakep82 - 20/8/08 at 09:45 PM

i know... i thought they'd either go for a fair amount (at least £20, say...) or not at all

BenB - 20/8/08 at 09:57 PM

Should have asked one of us to put a £10 punt on it and then not bother if we never paid up

blakep82 - 20/8/08 at 10:07 PM

ha ha considered that, but then knowing my luck, it would be someone off here who bought them lol

02GF74 - 21/8/08 at 07:29 AM

bummer .... you'd probably have got more for them at the metal scrappies.

blakep82 - 21/8/08 at 10:07 PM

oh FFS

er, what did the ad say about posting?
well, at least i can say no now...

what do you guys reckon?

DarrenW - 21/8/08 at 10:17 PM

You may have problem if they arrange courier.

Id say no to postage. Not worth hassle for 99p unless they will pay £30 or so.

blakep82 - 21/8/08 at 10:20 PM

i agree, he'd have to pay well over the odds for me to post it...

what do you mean about hassle with a courier?

Peteff - 22/8/08 at 09:07 AM

Start them at a minimum price and state collection only, no courier option if you don't want someone arranging a pick up service you have to wait around for.

grazzledazzle - 23/8/08 at 01:51 PM

50notes postage should cover it. That bubble wrap is expensive stuff.

D Beddows - 23/8/08 at 07:30 PM

For heavens sake, stop being such a misery and send the bloke his halfshafts!!! He isn't trying to con you or be difficult and he's said he's willing to pay over the odds for postage.... it's not his fault you didn't put a reserve on them!! Lets face it, if it was you who'd won a set of halfshafts for 99p you'd probably be telling us all what a cracking bargain you'd just got from Ebay.

Win some, loose some and all that.....

blakep82 - 23/8/08 at 07:34 PM

the point is the listing clearly say i'm NOT posting them. so he bids, wins then asks me to post them. if he came to collect, like the listing says, then fine, i wouldn't even have a pound off him. he can have them, but i said i'm NOT posting
