Does anyone know where I can buy an electric fan fitting kit cheaper than the one on ebay.

Not by the time you have paid postage on top.

why not do it the locost way and get 4 beefy cable ties from B&Q and off cuts of mdf with a bit of sponge

Whatever kit you get, invest in some plastic tubing. Run the cable ties through the tubing, which goes through the fins of the rad and prevents the plastic sawing through the rad

cbs at the Stafford show?

IMO that is not a kit but a bodge.

Whenever you see things like this, ask yourself this question: Which mass produced car uses this?

It is a reasonable assumption that car manufacturers have a clue about what they are doing.

Search for my previsous posts about these.

There will be people who will post saying they have these fitted and they are perfectly ok but that doesn't change my opinion (I am not alone).

A bracket to hold the fan it the correct way IMO.

That is my advisce - what you do is up to you.

As mentioned OEM's use a frame to mount the fans, not fixings through the rad. Vib's through the fan may well wear through the matrix

I used flat ali bar from B&Q bolted to the front of the rad, (2 bits) fan bolted to them. Means the fans not touching the matrix so less chance of damaging. Then flash over with some matt black to tidy it all up.

Sorry, no pics, bent the thing in half going through the hedge
