mcerd1 - 30/8/10 at 03:32 PM

Got a bit of an issue with my work PC, but to cut a long story short it is sort of working at the moment but deperatly needs the whole thing re-installed

got all the CD's but someone has lost the licence key for outlook 2003
(its a legit copy, and I have to use 2003 for compatability)

so is it possible to retreve the key from ym machine before i wipe it ?

Do a search for something called Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder. It should solve your issue!

You could always go Locost and try Open Office. I use it and it's great, but then I use Ubuntu too so Bill gets none of my wedge at all! More money to spend on the proper things like car parts!

On a similar theme ……

I bought a second hand Dell power edge server a few years ago, I went to install it in my home network last week but I have lost the admin password. Is there a way to recover the password or will I have to reinstall Windows 2000 SBS?

but its for work, so it has to work with our server and on a system that works with all the CAD etc.... (several grands worth of software ) so basicaly I'm stuck with win XP pro and outlook 2003 (could go newer, but we've had issues with the new ones and I don't want the extra hassle)

http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

Assuming it has a working CD or floppy drive and that it can be booted from those.

It'll not recover the password but allow you to overwrite it with a new one or a blank one (I've always had success with a blank one)
