It's a hard game not had it long so looking for some help lol it sounds like your alot further along than me.

scootz - 8/12/10 at 07:06 PM

I never understood 'cheat' fuctions.

As mentioned on another thread, I used to love Doom on the PS1... my brother used to play it too, but on the PC and he was forever using 'cheats'. He would simply saunter through the game-play in a couple of nights! Where's the satisfaction in that?

omega0684 - 8/12/10 at 07:17 PM

i've done the top gear elise and got gold, i did take a while, the trick i found was not to light up the tyres!

daniel mason - 8/12/10 at 07:19 PM

am on with the expert class now but not done a few of the others like pick up trucks and classic car races, yaris race

RickRick - 8/12/10 at 07:27 PM

daniel mason - 8/12/10 at 09:16 PM

i used a ferrari 430 scuderia so it could enter the italian and ferrari cups. 2 birds-1 stone, cashback!!!!

One of the better money makers is the british lightweight championship on PRO. Its about 3.5 minutes racing for nearly 30k iirc and easy to win with a standard elise with tyres.

Specials are really good for money.

One car I have used lots is the Buick '62 Special. I won it but can't remember from where. Tuned its insanely fast at 800 HP and won the GT world champs and many other races quite easily.

The top gears tests are a bit silly, I got gold in the VW bus test on 3rd try but took approx 100 gos at the elise challenge to get gold. Once I finally got it though I did it 3 times in a row. There is a knack to it. Check out youtube there are a bunch of vids on how to do it.

I finally bought an F150 yesterday for the truck series, currently I'm nearly finished the Pro events, not had much trouble yet to be fair.

daniel mason - 8/12/10 at 09:33 PM

^^^ can you keep doing the race and keep winning the £30k ?

liam.mccaffrey - 8/12/10 at 09:53 PM

yes If its a regular race, you can't get the money more than once on the special events though

dlatch - 9/12/10 at 01:01 AM

do B spec mazda challenge to get the concept car which will beat the cars in the like the wind challenge (extreme) you will then get a very nice toyota le man race car.

Ford GT tuned is a very capable machine too

awesome game i am lvl 23 A spec and lvl 13 B spec
keep an eye on the used car market you will need a touring car for later also they cost circa 1.4 mil

Tipster69 - 9/12/10 at 08:11 AM

Any of you got the Firebladed Caterham yet?

I have one, tuned to death. Lots of fun on the right track.

gavinpurvis - 9/12/10 at 12:27 PM

For the last one on the pro series - get the fully custom gear box and change the ratios so the top end is loads faster makes it easy to win that one.

No, but I bought myself the GSX-R/4. Awesome car that one

daniel mason - 9/12/10 at 06:06 PM

where do you win the caterham?

Marcus - 9/12/10 at 06:50 PM

That damned Elise race is bugging me, as is the fact that I can't find a truck!!
Excellent game though but I think it would be better with a wheel. Trying to persuade the wife that I need a Fanatec Porsche wheel

Jasper - 11/12/10 at 01:02 PM

Ohhhhhh, now I really want a PS3 ............

eddie99 - 11/1/11 at 02:08 AM

How do you get a caterham on this game? I've been looking

SeanStone - 11/1/11 at 04:01 AM

for all the tuned/german/mr/big championships i use a mercedes clk gtr which you get when completing the third mercedes special event. it's also tuned to 880hp i think. beastly! i've got the formula gran turismo now too and that is crazy round nurburg. working towards level 30 for the x1.

if you go to seasonal events, the prize money and points are pretty big. don't buy cars, just do the special events and use the cars you win. i won a veyron from one of them.

Ninehigh - 11/1/11 at 07:10 AM

True so far I bought my original MX5 and a 1974 Lancer for the Japanese classic. Oh I got an Alfa something too, looks like the one Hammond had, that he used a leather jacket to reupholster the passenger seat..

As for cheats I think they stopped them after GT2
