We like you just the way you are

MikeR - 1/6/07 at 04:21 PM

actually you don't have to grow up at all - you will find that your toys get more expensive and you have less time with them unfortunaltey.

)

vinny1275 - 1/6/07 at 04:21 PM

Congratulations David....

Off to get royally ratted? Although I think when I finished my last Uni exam, I was straight off down to the bar, I didn't go anywhere near a PC afterwards!

Now to go find a job and un-learn all the stuff Uni has been teaching you (and finish the GTS of course).....

Manufacturing Engineering Masters at Warwick for the past 4 years, 2 years of a-levels, 2 years of GCSE's and a year of SATs all of which were stressful at the time. Its been fun really, I like a challenge

I am just waiting for my girlfriend to finish work, then there will be a celebration. The JD is ready

Start full time work in september as a project engineer speccing, testing and purchasing new machines and equipment, then its into mortgages, student loan repayment and overdraft (total of about £19k) and family. Though I don't have much intention to rush into the latter just yet .

David

Getting OLDER is mandatory.
GROWING UP is optional.

Hope you get the results that you have worked for.

DIY Si - 1/6/07 at 05:48 PM

You don't have to grow up, you just have to get a job, and wash more often! Bleeding 'orrible grubby student types!
As said, my dad still considers growing up optional and he's 46. I think. Also, your toys just get bigger/faster/more expensive. But hopefully more fun.
Growing up is giving up. So don't.

shades - 1/6/07 at 06:40 PM

Well done... I remember the feeling well and its been 14 years since I finished my last one. Still have the occasional dream that I still have to study for an exam that is comming up...

Well done FM - I did the same 17 years ago so you're making me feel an old f**ker - Hope that when you read this tomorrow your eyes are stinging and your brain is trying to crawl out of your left ear

All the best.

I graduated from Cov in 2003, and my wife from Warwick in same year.

We both miss the student life, so do yourself a favour and take in the last few weeks and enjoy it.

You'll look back on this for the rest of your life, and you cant go back (it'd never be the same).

Ed.
P.S. Is beery Dave (Benefactors warden, aka Postcode Dave) still trundling about?? You'd know him: short rotund squirell-like man always seen with a drunken smile and a pint of ale in the Airport Bar (think it might now be just called Bar, anyhow its in Rootes Social bldg) or Cholos.

ayoungman - 2/6/07 at 01:59 AM
