Zetec Oil Pressure Sender
tims31 - 25/2/16 at 05:14 PM

I've been looking at adding a Oil pressure sender to my Blacktop zetec but looking at the senders they do not look like they will fit in the hole where the current pressure switch is.

Has anyone fitted one of these t-pieces and does that allows the sender and pressure switch to be fitted, does it give enough clearance to fit the sender away from the block. Also does it finish in the correct orientation to have the sender facing away from the filter of do you just add a washer if not the correct orientation (if that makes sense to space it out)?

I'm looking at the same issue right now.

Burton power have added a braided pipe to remote locate it.

Why bother when you can use the spare hole a few cm to the left of the switch.

If you have an ST170 type zetec you even get three holes in that horizontal oilway. Only the front one usually in use for the oil light switch in the donor.

The flexibility hose is to stop the sender being shaken apart so I was told at a 750mc meet

Is that for definite on all blocks as I had read somewhere that people had issues using that point which is why I was looking at the piece.
The remote hose would also work but that's another £30 for something I don't necessarily need plus the price of the sender and gauge.
If the spare port works then that would be better. Anyone had any issues using that port?
